BPUB reports second employee with COVID-19

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (KVEO) — The Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) has confirmed that a second employee has tested positive for COVID-19.

The employee was last in the workplace on June 11 and the positive result was confirmed on June 16, according to a release.

Officials say they will continue to follow guidelines and require employees to use face masks.

The release adds the BPUB will continue operations, their offices remain closed to public.
