BPUB employee tests positive for COVID-19

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (KVEO) — The Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) reports that one of their employees tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a release, the employee was last at the facility on April 16. The positive test was released on June 12.

BPUB says the employee has been placed under quarantine are being monitored.

The public is also reminded they can continue make payments on the drive-thru lane.

The BPUB is also continuing to follow CDC guidelines, requiring employees to use face masks and practicing good hygiene.

BPUB offices have been closed since March 17.
