Boys & Girls Club wish their coach a speedy recovery

MCALLEN, Texas – We’re learning more about Texas DPS Trooper Moises Sanchez, including his work with the children in our community. Trooper Sanchez at one time was employed by the Boys & Girls Club in McAllen, where he is currently one of their coaches. Sanchez coaches a 6th grade girls softball team and just finished coaching a basketball team. He is also a former karate instructor as well.

A representative with the Boys and Girls Club says when there has been a need, Sanchez has stepped up often coaching in his DPS uniform.

Dalinda Gonzalez-Alcantar, McAllen Boys & Girls Club CEO, “You know I’ve heard incredible things about Trooper Sanchez. I think what we can see clearly as a state trooper and that he is here to serve his community in that capacity but also as a role model.”

Members of the Boys & Girls Club all wish Coach Sanchez, as he is known, a speedy recovery.
