PHARR, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol agents identified an individual with a previous conviction for a sexually related crime, said the agency in a press release.
Thursday afternoon, Weslaco agents working near Pharr, Texas, arrested a group of 12 individuals after they illegally entered the United States.
During processing, record checks for a Mexican national, later identified as Bernardo Lozano-Martinez, revealed a previous arrest by the Alamo, Texas Police Department for indecency with a child-sexual contact and indecency with a child-exposure.
A judge found Lozano-Martinez guilty and sentenced him to 10 years probation, said the agency.
Border Patrol referred Lozano-Martinez for criminal prosecution.
