LA ROSITA, Texas – Border Patrol agents working near La Rosita, Texas, observed several individuals load what agents suspected too be bundles of narcotics into a vehicle parked near the Rio Grande.
According to a release, the incident took place on Tuesday. Border Patrol agents responded and located the vehicle, which was abandoned in a nearby neighborhood.
Inside the vehicle, agents discovered several bundles of methamphetamine, weighing over 150 pounds, worth an estimated $4.93 million, said the release.
Border Patrol turned over the two individuals and narcotics to the Drug Enforcement Administration for prosecution.
