U.S. Border Patrol agents interdicted a marijuana smuggling attempt along the Rio Grande.

Early this morning, Rio Grande City Station agents observed several subjects illegally cross the Rio Grande south of La Casita, Texas. As agents began to track the group, they discovered eight bundles of marijuana along the path. An extensive search of the area resulted in the apprehension of five undocumented immigrants.
