Border Patrol Seizes Nearly 1,000 pounds of marijuana over the weekend

RGV Border Patrol agents disrupted five separate drug smuggling attempts, all within a 72 hour period.

Two of those attempts stopped thanks to reports of smuggling activity.

Several individuals were carrying more than one hundred pounds of marijuana on their backs. 

Another 800 pounds were found in two separate vehicles.

Close to one thousand pounds were seized with an estimated street value of more than $770,000.
