Edinburg, Texas (KVEO)—Border Patrol agents seize nearly $400,000 worth of drugs on Sunday, according to a news release.
Weslaco Border Patrol agents working near Donna, Texas, responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle that was traveling north of the Rio Grande.
As agents approached the Dodge Charger, that was parked near Valley View road, the driver and passenger abandoned the vehicle and jumped into a nearby brush, said the release.

Agents arrested both men after they discovered more than 141 pounds of marijuana, worth more than $112,000 inside the vehicle.
On Sunday night, Falfurrias agents working at the checkpoint seized 87 pounds of marijuana in a false compartment of a black four-door sedan that was stopped for a secondary inspection.
The drugs are worth more than $69,000, according to the news release.
A few hours later, agents in Rio Grande City received and responded to a reported drug smuggling attempt.
As the agents arrived, they witnessed drug smugglers abandon the drugs and run back towards the river.
Agents seized 234 pounds of marijuana worth more than $187,000. Officials say all the smugglers swam back to Mexico.
