EDINBURG, Texas (KVEO) — Border Patrol agents were able to stop two drug smuggling attempts over two days.

The drug bust resulted in the seizure of marijuana, valued at $380,000.

One incident took place at the Falfurrias Border Patrol Checkpoint early Wednesday. Agents searched the vehicle involved after being alerted by a K-9 officer. Agents then discovered 39 bundles of marijuana.

The second incident took place Tuesday at the Fort Brown station. Authorities say agents observed four subjects carrying bundles. The subject dripped the drugs and fled, after observing agents in the area. The bundles seized weighed a total of 148 pounds.
