Border Patrol agents arrest smuggler with previous murder conviction

Falfurrias, (Texas) Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol agents arrest a smuggler with a prior conviction for second degree murder.

According to a release sent by Customs and Border Protection, agents working at the Falfurrias checkpoint stopped two individuals in a black Honda Accord for further inspection on Monday afternoon.

Agents then determined that the passenger was a Colombian national that was residing illegally in the United States. Record checks revealed that the driver, a United States citizen, has an extensive criminal record. One of his conviction was a second degree murder charge from Louisiana, where he was sentenced to five years incarceration.
