Border Patrol agents arrested a Salvadoran man with three drunken driving convictions on Friday.

Agents arrested Mario Adalberto Guardado-Ayala near Hidalgo.

“Record checks revealed the Defendant was formally Deported/Excluded from the United States on March 1, 2016, through Laredo, Texas,” according to the federal criminal complaint against him.

On April 3, 2007, Guardado was convicted of driving while intoxicated, a third-degree felony, and sentenced to two years in prison, according to the criminal complaint.

Guardado is now charged with illegal re-entry.

An attorney for Guardado didn’t respond to a request for comment.
