PALMVIEW, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Police are investigating a murder-suicide at a Palmview business, officials say.
Irma Garza, the city spokeswoman, said the incident happened around 7:20 a.m. Monday at 2401 W. Palma Vista Drive near a building supply store. Palmview police told ValleyCentral that upon arrival at La Popular Home Center, they found the bodies of a man and woman.
“A lot of it is very preliminary, we’re in the infant stages of this investigation,” Jose Trevino, Palmview Police chief, said. “We don’t know what association they had with this business, if any. We do know that this just occurred at this location.”
Blanca Ramirez lives on Flores Drive, near the business where the incident took place. She said she is very shaken up by it – and it was not expected in her part of town.
“We never hear that, never here,” Ramirez said. “My grandchildren visit us often and they’re playing and, you know, hearing about these things, it really, really scares me.”
Police in Palmview say they were assisted by other local law enforcement agencies in this investigation.
