A doctor who was reprimanded by the Texas Medical Board earlier this week is now facing more legal action. A second lawsuit has been filed against Dr. Eugenio Galindo alleging similar circumstances to the first.
In a lawsuit filed last month another woman has come forward with allegations of Sexual Misconduct against the doctor.
The woman worked as a marketer for a local home health agency and would often interact with the doctor. She alleges that on more than one occasion Galindo would make unwanted sexual advances which included inappropriate touching, trying to stick his tongue in her mouth and even propositioned her to go on a trip with him for $1,000 a day.
Galindo was arrested in December 2018 on two sexual assault charges and one count of attempted sexual assault after a patient of his came forward with allegations.
This week the Texas Medical Board restricted Dr. Galindo from treating female patients after the board found the allegations to be serious and supported by sworn testimony in front of the panel.
Aizar Karam, attorney, “I’m not surprised at all by the recent decision by the Texas Medical Board. I would just like to urge anybody who has any information about Dr. Galindo involving inappropriate conduct, that they contact the Edinburg Police Department, Edinburg Crime Stoppers, or they can contact our office as well.”
The board says their decision against Galindo will remain in effect until they take further action. The attorney representing both women says he believes there are more victims yet to come forward. The latest allegations against Dr. Galindo are set to go to trial in September.
