Asylum seekers battling cold weather

BROWNSVILLE, Texas – It was a cold night for migrants and their children along the border in Matamoros. For the next few days they’ll try to stay warm as best they can. Local groups from the Rio Grande Valley are stepping up to help. They’ve gathered blankets, jackets and other necessities for the migrants.

These groups are crossing the border with supplies to distribute them to families in need. These are some of the coldest nights and many are just doing their part in helping migrants get through the cold weather.
