The City of Mission officially has a new mayor and it was all made official on Monday afternoon.
Dr. Armando O’caña was sworn in at the Mission Event Center.
O’caña defeated Long-Time Mayor Beto Salinas in a mayoral runoff election earlier this month, taking 51 percent of the total votes.
“We are going to bring in the same projects that we have, we are going to complete those. We are going to do youth development, we are going to revitalize downtown and we are going to bring fair wages to our city employees,” said O’caña
During the event, Gus Martinez was also officially sworn in replacing O’caña as Precinct 4 Commisioner.
