Valley International Airport has announced that American Airlines will start flying into Harlingen starting in March 2019.
We’re told service will start on March 3, 2019, with three flights a day.
According to a release, the three daily flights will depart Harlingen at 6 a.m., arriving at DFW at 7:43 a.m.; 11:30 a.m. arriving DFW at 1:14 p.m.; and 5:40 p.m. arriving DFW at 7:24 p.m. Return flights will depart DFW at 8:55 a.m. arriving Harlingen at 10:32 a.m.; 3:01 p.m. arriving Harlingen at 5 p.m ; and 8:40 p.m. arriving in Harlingen at 10:08 p.m.
“Residents in Harlingen and the Rio Grande Valley are thrilled to have American Airlines providing excellent reach throughout their entire network”, said Chris Boswell, Mayor of Harlingen. “It is more than new air service, American Airlines will bring to Harlingen its recognized AAdvantage® Frequent Flyer program, the American Airlines Vacations product and the reach it provides through the oneworld® alliance,” Jose A. Mulet, Director of Air Service Development at Valley International Airport, said in a press release.
No word yet what specific aircraft will be used.
Flights will be on sale starting on October 8, 2018.
