SAN ANTONIO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — San Antonio Police Department officials gave an update on the ongoing search for a missing 3-year-old girl.

An Amber Alert was issued for the missing child last seen in San Antonio Monday night.

According to officials, Lina Sardar Khil, 3, was abducted and was last seen at the 9400 block of Fredericksburg Road in San Antonio on Dec. 20 at 5 p.m.

Khil was last seen wearing a black jacket, red dress, and black shoes. She is described as 4’0″ weighing 55 pounds with brown eyes and brown shoulder-length hair.

Police said she was at a playground being watched by her mom. The mother left for an unspecified ‘short’ time, when she came back Lina was gone.

The family contacted the police around 7:15 p.m. Monday.

Several agencies have been called to work on the case, including the FBI.

San Antonio PD has set up a perimeter and are searching for video and leads that may give information on the disappearance of the 3-year-old.

San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) Chief William McManus also mentioned in the press conference that they have a helicopter searching the area.

McManus added police are searching dumpsters. They are also searching every car and person that leaves and enters the apartment complex.
