Alleged Kidnapper in Court, Bond Set

Local News

A $200,000 bond has been set for a valley woman accused of kidnapping a Brownsville teen.

This is 30-year-old Claudia Guerra as she made her way into a local Municpal Court to face a judge.

She was arraigned on charges stemming from the alleged kidnapping of a Porter High School Student.

Guerra was ordered to stay away from 14-year-old Erika Govea. Police say she picked up the teen at around 8am from school on Tuesday and just a few hours later, Guerra’s car was seen travelling into Mexico. She was arrested Wednesday at Veteran’s International Bridge.

Govea had already walked across the Gateway International Bridge.
