Air Fiesta Cancelled, Garage Sale Planned

Local News

This September the Commemorative Air Force of the Rio Grande Valley announced there will not be a 2018 Air Fiesta at the Brownsville Airport.

After 26 years, a misunderstanding over the use of space has lead the airshow, and the museum, out of airport hangars.

The Commemorative Air Force had originally scheduled a public meeting to discuss the future of the organization and the Air Fiesta, however we now find that organization is planning a garage sale.

In an Email, representatives of the CAF tell us “we decided that with our limited funds it was too risky to gamble, even a small loss.”

The museum plans to host one of many garage sales starting Saturday November 4, 2017 from 9AM till Noon at the Brownsville Airport.
