Accused drunk driver charged and given bond

EDINBURG, Texas – Bond has been set for a man accused of causing the death of a woman over the weekend. 34-year-old Miguel Lopez has been formally charged with Intoxication Manslaughter, Assault, and two counts of Failing to Stop and Render Aid. The incident happened Saturday night in San Juan when authorities say Lopez rear ended a vehicle killing the driver. Lopez was released from the hospital and booked into the Hidalgo County Jail. His bond is set at $250,000.
