PHARR, Texas (KVEO) — Pharr-San Juan- Alamo (PSJA) Independent School District (ISD) seniors have broken the district’s record of students graduating with an Associate Degree.
The district says 541 senior will be receiving their degree from South Texas College in fields including Biology, Criminal Justice and Mathematics.
“We commend our amazing students for reaching this life-changing milestone,” said PSJA Superintendent Dr. Jorge L. Arredondo in the release. “We are so proud to have the highest number of Associate Degrees earned from our higher education partner South Texas College, and the most ever to have participated in dual credit courses in the history of PSJA!”
The release adds 96 of the students received their degree in December 2019.
