PHARR – U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations at the Pharr International Bridge cargo facility seized a purported shipment of liquid methamphetamine.
The drugs are worth $3,108,000 and discovered within a commercial truck arriving from Mexico with merchandise.
On June 19, CBP officers assigned to the cargo facility of the bridge referred a truck with a commercial shipment of automotive parts arriving from Mexico for further inspection.
In secondary inspection was the discovery of 155.5 pounds of alleged liquid methamphetamine concealed within the truck’s fuel tanks, said the agency’s press release.
CBP OFO seized the narcotics along with the shipment and subsequently the case was turned over to agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) who continue with the investigation.
