27th Annual Boo at the Zoo Underway

A night of terror and family fun continues at Gladys Porter Zoo.

Tonight is the last day for the 27th annual Boo at the Zoo.
Yesterday an estimated eight thousand visitors celebrated Halloween at the zoo.

Ringgold Street, the street in which the zoo is located, is currently under construction.

Access to through Palm Blvd is closed.

Event Coordinators recommend purchasing the tickets ahead of time in order to avoid long lines.  

Charlie Abrego, Spokesperson for the Gladys Porter Zoo says, “We also expect a very high attended event since it is Monday, maybe 4,000, but we always get surprise. Sometimes we get a big flow of people. It is one of the biggest Halloween events in the whole Rio Grande Valley.” 

The event will be tonight from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
