Police arrested a 26-year-old Edinburg man accused of sexually assaulting his classmate last month, according to court records.
An investigation began after the woman filed a sexual assault report at the Edinburg Police Department on Oct. 12.
According to the criminal complaint, the woman was assisting 26-year-old Pedro Pablo Jurado with his homework at his Edinburg apartment on Oct. 10 when he “grabbed her hand and forced her” to touch him.
The woman says she told Jurado to stop several times, but “he ignored her request” and continued to sexually asssault her, according to the criminal complaint.
Jurado was charged with sexual assault, a second-degree felony.
He was released from the Hidalgo County jail on Nov. 3, according to jail records. He couldn’t be reached for comment.
