Law enforcement agencies delivering food to families

EDINBURG, Texas – Various law enforcement agencies across the Rio Grande Valley have stepped up to help those in need during this pandemic.

The Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley and other organizations are providing food to Valley families in need and are having local law enforcement agencies deliver the food to their homes to keep people from leaving the house.

“Today we had law enforcement from across the four-county area come here to help us deliver these since we are social distancing and trying to do no contact delivery. Law enforcement will be handing these out for us to these families,” said Sophia Pena, Executive Director of the Capable Kids Foundation.

The food bank is continuing work to provide to families in need during the economic crisis brought on by the pandemic.
