Known political activists arrested at a chaotic city meeting, are formally charged

MERCEDES, Texas – Several citizens who were removed from a Mercedes City Commission meeting have now been formally charged.

Dalia Peña, the woman who tried to regain entry into the meeting after leaving her purse, has been charged with Resisting Arrest and Interference with Public Duties.

Noel Rodriguez has been charged with Assault on a Public Servant, Interference with Public Duties, and Resisting arrest.

Llene Luna has been charged with Resisting Arrest.

Finally, Velda Garcia has been charged with Resisting Arrest and Interference with Public Duties.

A Facebook page, Mercedes Will Drain Again, shares a video of the four of them being formally charged.
