Inmate facing additional murder charges after fight in jail

OLMITO, Texas – An inmate who was being held at the Carrizales Rucker Detention center is now facing murder charges.

Family members spoke with Local 23 and revealed that Joshua Sosa and Carlos Estrada fought while inside the detention center.

A few days later Estrada died from his wounds while out on bond.

Sosa was being held on a one-million-dollar bond for aggravated assault and a thirty-thousand-dollar bond on theft of property, from a March arrest in Harlingen.

Estrada was being held on Burglary of Habitation with intent to commit a felony.

Sosa is to be arraigned on Friday.

There will be more details to come tomorrow.
