Immigrants detained outside of SpaceX facility

News

BROWNSVILLE, Texas — Daily crossings of illegal immigrants are becoming a common sighting for those with property near the Rio Grande River.

A video sent to Local 23 News by a Brownsville resident Maria Pointer, shows Border Patrol detaining several illegal immigrants moments after crossing the border.

What’s strange for some is not the detention but how close the incident happened to restricted SpaceX facilities. As previously reported the Trump Administration once considered a border wall near the launch site.

This year congress added protections to keep any border wall construction away from historic Valley landmarks, wildlife sanctuaries, and even SpaceX along the border.
