Hospital’s flower display bringing hope to community

EDINBURG, Texas (KVEO) — Monday, there was hope on display at the Edinburg Regional Hospital.

Administrators used a flower bed as a “visual reminder of the brightness that is around us despite the pandemic.”

Hospital officials said that they are using the flowers to highlight bright moments like patients recovering or health care workers reuniting with their families.

“As important as it is for the community to understand the severity of COVID-19, it’s equally as important to display a message of hope. So, this flower bed is a visual reminder for all involved that there is brightness in the middle of this pandemic,” said Lily Rickets, of Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
