Hidalgo County Tax Offices announced it is implementing new guidelines to limit the number of people they serve in person.
In a release, the county advises it will allow no more than one individual per group to enter the facility.
The release adds exceptions will be made for those in wheelchairs needing assistance.
This will be effective starting April 3.
The Hidalgo County Tax Assessor-Collector is taking preventive measures to ensure the safety of our citizens in order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
According to the release, minors not conducting business will be counted as one. No more than ten people will be allowed.
Individuals can conduct business via mail, dropbox, online or by appointment. Tax payments can also be made online, said the release.
