EDINBURG, Texas – County Officials held a “Topping Out Ceremony” Wednesday at the construction site.
The topping out ceremonies are a construction tradition celebrating the achievement of a major milestone, completing the structural components of a building.
Some of the construction workers, county officials, and guests had the opportunity to sign the final beam, marking their participation in the courthouse project.
All seven concrete floor decks and the roof deck have been constructed.
Local 23 was told the project is nearly 50% complete and should be finished by Fall of 2021.
