A donation of $100,000 to Driscoll Children’s Hospital is one of 84 grants awarded this summer by the Hearst Foundations.
The generous gift was in support of Driscoll Children’s Hospital’s futuresbright campaign, which is raising funds for the new five-story North Pavilion currently under construction. When completed, the new North Pavilion will house a beautiful child-friendly Outpatient Surgery Center, a new larger modernized Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and assist with renovations and expansions to Surgical Services, including surgical suites.
Driscoll’s grant was one of 33 made in the health field. Hearst Foundations also awarded grants to cultural, educational and social service organizations across the United States.
“Driscoll Children’s Hospital is so thankful for this grant from such an esteemed national philanthropic organization. The Hearst Foundations see the need for Driscoll to continue to provide the very best in healthcare for all the children of South Texas,” said Martha Avery, Vice President, Development, Driscoll Children’s Hospital.
