CDC expanded list of COVID-19 symptoms


The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently expanded the list of COVID-19 symptoms.

On their site, the CDC advises that symptoms may appear anywhere between 2 to 24 days after being exposed to the virus.

Those with the following symptoms or combination of symptoms, as stated on the CDC website, may have COVID-19:

  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

Or at least two of the following:

  • Fever
  • Chills
  • Repeated shaking with chills
  • Muscle pain
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • New loss of taste or smell

The CDC adds that children have similar symptoms to adults and generally have mild illness.
