Harlingen flood damage assessment

News

HARLINGEN, Texas – City officials in Harlingen say employees are working around the clock to pick up hundreds of thousands of pounds of debris.

We are told more than 4,000 homes were affected. Just yesterday crews collected more than 467,000 pounds of debris.

The Health Department sprayed the city for mosquitoes. They plan to spray the city again this week and the following as they continue to assess the damage.

Residents who have not yet pulled out debris still have time to do so by placing it on the curb.

Residents are also encouraged to help by turning over all containers in their yards that have accumulated water.

You can also report damage to your property by using the free City of Harlingen mobile app using an Android or Apple device.
