Governor Greg Abbott activates Texas National Guard in response to protests

AUSTIN, Texas – According to a press release, Governor Greg Abbott has activated the Texas National Guard in response to protest violence across the state of Texas.

“Texans have every right to exercise their first amendment rights, but violence and looting will not be tolerated,” said Governor Greg Abbott in a statement.
