Gladys Porter Zoo opened to the public

BROWNSVILLE, Texas – Gladys Porter Zoo is reopening their doors.

Before you can take a trip, visitors are required to make a reservation as the facility will operate at limited capacity.

Social distancing measures will be implemented, “Everyone gets their hands sanitized on their way in and on their way out. All of our restrooms, the doors are propped open, there’s ample soap and water so practice personal hygiene and help us to protect you and our irreplaceable animal collection. We hope to see you all come out to the zoo,” said Dr. Patrick Burchfield of Gladys Porter Zoo.

The zoo opens at 9 a.m. and the last ticket will be sold at 4 p.m.
