EDINBURG, Texas (KVEO) – The City of Edinburg is inviting everyone to attend the first virtual FridaFest.
FridaFest is an annual festival to celebrate renowned Mexican Artist Frida Kahlo. According to Edinburg Arts, she is best known for her daring self-portraits depicting the suffering she experienced.
The festival is being held virtually on social media because of COVID-19 and will begin July 7th and end July 10th.
The events will be taking place on Edinburg Arts Facebook and YouTube pages.
The events include dance performances, an all-female art exhibit curated by Eva Williamson, as well as Frida look-a-like contests for both children and adults.
