DONNA, Texas – Acting secretary for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Chad Wolf, was in the Rio Grande Valley Thursday to check in on the status of a segment of border wall being built in Donna.
We asked Secretary Wolf for his stance on citizens taking the matter of the border wall into their own hands.
“I welcome all efforts to help secure the border, as long as they’re done in concert with the men and women of the Border Patrol who are developing the operations for what we see behind us. I welcome all efforts,” said DHS Secretary Chad Wolf.
The Rio Grande Border Patrol Chief added that a careful infrastructure and hydrology study is necessary to ensure the wall is soundly built.
