HIDALGO COUNTY, Texas (KVEO) — Congressman Vicente Gonzalez has announced a new testing initiative that are the results of a partnership between the state and CVS Pharmacy.
“Accessible, abundant, efficient, and accurate testing is critical to reining in the surge of COVID-19 in south Texas,” said Congressman Gonzalez. “CVS Health will be an enormous resource and expand access to testing for our vulnerable populations. I am grateful for CVS Health for stepping up and answering our community’s call for help.”
The following are CVS pharmacies that will be offering drive-thru “swab and send” testing:
- 5600 North 23rd Street, McAllen
- 1301 So. Cage Blvd, Pharr
- 2820 West University Drive, Edinburg
- 2020 South Walnut Avenue, New Braunfels
The El Milagro Clinic in McAllen is also partnering with CVS Health to offer rapid testing beginning Friday July 17.
The El Milagro Clinic will only offer testing by appointments by calling (956)-213-6400.
