Company donates funds for much needed ambulance in Willacy County

News

RAYMONDVILLE, Texas – Willacy County officials are celebrating the arrival of a new ambulance in Raymondville.

E.ON Climate & Renewables hosted a handover ceremony for the donation of a new unit for Willacy County EMS. It’s a much needed addition to the community as the nearest hospital is outside of county lines in Harlingen. The new vehicle will be the seventh unit available for Willacy County.

Frank Torres, Willacy County EMS, “Any time that an ambulance takes off on a call, it’s out of the county for 2 and half hours. So this will enable us to respond immediately instead of having patients wait for us to get back from Harlingen.

Emergency services say the new unit is now fully operational and in service.
