PEÑITAS, Texas (KVEO) — According to a Facebook post, the City of Peñitas is shutting down in-person activities and services.
The announcement comes after several city staff tested positive for COVID-19. According to the post, exposed staff are quarantining as per CDC guidelines.
“City Hall and the Peñitas Public Library will remain closed to in-person activity and all city offices will be deep-cleaned,” said the Facebook post.
The city reminds people to dial 911 for emergencies, and to dial (956)-581-3345 for non-emergencies.
