Border Patrol Crashes into Mission home

News

MISSION, Texas – Two Border Patrol units crashed into a Mission home following a high-speed chase.

Authorities say a suspected human smuggler led agents on a pursuit at approximately ten this morning on the intersection of Oblate and Seventh Street.

Both Border Patrol units collided while attempting to stop the suspect, breaking through a home’s front yard.

Neighbors say stash houses are becoming more common in this area.

“We’ve always had a really peaceful residential area, the residents, everyone knew everyone, not anymore. There’s so much activity, they built additions to their homes without permits and you question hey, why is your vehicle parked where it’s not supposed to be, and they get all mad and stuff. But yeah, I was told a while ago there is three stash houses and one of them is a trucker.” Says Maria Esther Salinas, a neighbor.

Border Patrol tells us the agents sustained minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
