Bike ride memorial for fallen officers

MISSION, Texas (KVEO) — Dozens gathered on Saturday in Mission for a bike ride memorial for the two fallen McAllen Police Officers, Ismael Chavez and Edelmiro Garza.

The bikers rode to the McAllen Police Department where many shared stories and provided a few words to honor the fallen heroes.

“Today, south Texas weeps because we’ve lost some good, good men. We’re here to show and support and love. With the turmoil going on with the country, right now a lot of people are against our police officers. Well, we’re showing Texas is not. We support our police officers,” said Roy Pena, President of the Red, White, and Blue Patriot Riders.

During the memorial, other fallen officers from the surrounding areas in the state were also remembered.
