Back to School Bash with Mission CISD

MISSION, Texas – This morning hundreds of Mission CISD students gathered to stuff 2,500 backpacks with school supplies. The backpacks will be given out at tonight’s Back to School Bash at Veterans Memorial High School.

All the backpacks and supplies are donated by area organizations and businesses. The Bash is meant to be a one stop shop for families as they head back to school.

Craig Verley, Mission CISD PIO, “It’s all thanks to our community coming together that we are going to be able to provide these services for our students.”

The Bash runs from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Free haircuts and eye exams will be provided at the event. Immunization services and student physicals will also be available at discounted rates.
