Alleged threat by student at Point Isabel ISD

PORT ISABEL, Texas – Point Isabel ISD officials have identified the student responsible for an alleged threat made towards a school.

The district is aware of a threat made. The superintendent says there were social media posts that raised concern among parents and students, but the district has nothing definite.

Superintendent adds that the district takes these types of incidents seriously and continue to investigate. She says the district police department has involved surrounding police departments and will work with the FBI as well.

Point Isabel ISD’s statement:

“We are aware of an alleged threat voiced by a student. The student has been identified, the situation has been addressed, and appropriate action will be taken in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct. We will have additional police presence on campus today and we will be sending a blackboard message to parents this morning.”
