WASHINGTON, D.C. – $3.6 billion in funding for military construction projects has been approved by U.S. Secretary of Defense Mark Esper for President Trump’s border wall.
Pentagon officials declining to say which of the 127 projects will be affected but the details will be release once congress is notified. Adding half of the money is coming from project in the U.S. and the other half for projects in other countries.
Secretary Esper’s decision is not without controversy between the Trump administration and congress over immigration policy and border wall funding. Setting up a debate between lawmakers who earlier this year failed to approved nearly $6 billion in border wall funding.
