MIDDLE OF THE ATLANTIC -- Tropical Depression #8 has formed from an area of low pressure in the middle of the Atlantic ocean.

This storm is more than two thousand five hundred miles east of Brownsville and is forecast to continue moving east out into open water.

TD # 8 may strengthen to become Tropical Storm Gordon but even so it is not forecast to threaten anyone on land.
