A strong cold front has arrived, bringing what everyone has been asking for: cold weather!  Residents across the Lower Valley should expect some rain with this through 9 a.m.  For everyone else, expect those temperatures to drop off sharply through the morning and afternoon, remaining steadily in the upper 50’s through the evening.  Very breezy conditions will be left in the wake of the front, out of the north at 25 mph, gusting up to 40.  The wind could prove problematic for high profile vehicles on the road, and will elevate fire weather danger as drier air filters into the region this afternoon.  Lows tonight should bottom out in the 40’s.  The cold air should linger through at least mid-week.  We’ll make a return to the 70’s by Thursday.
