The severe weather that tore through the Rio Grande Valley on Thursday evening affected thousands.

Many lost power, and some even suffered hail damage.

But in San Perlita, Isabel Delgado says the storm caused significant damage to her home. So much damage, that she could no longer sleep in her own bedroom.

According to Delgado, she was eating dinner with her family when the storm hit. Suddenly, she heard a loud crack of thunder, and a strong wind blew off part of her roof.

The ceiling in her bedroom started to cave in, causing large amounts of water to saturate her bedroom.

Delgado says the storm scared her and her family tremendously, and she will have to spend the following morning trying to find ways to repair the roof and water damages.
