Nothing about the weather in the RGV will begin to look like Christmas before Christmas day.

Temperatures will continue to increase through Tuesday as the an onshore wind continues to bring in moist tropical air to the RGV.

A cold front will make its way through the valley on Christmas day in the evening hours bringing increased winds from the north.

The National Weather Service has issued a fire weather watch from Tuesday afternoon to Tuesday evening due to the expected gusty winds as the frontal boundary moves through the valley.

Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Temperatures on Wednesday afternoon will be about 30 degrees cooler than the day before.

Overnight lows on Wednesday and Thursday morning will dip down to the low 40's and even the 30's in some areas.
